A note from Chef Kim ...
Holiday, families, friends, what a great time to celebrate the important things in life. My most fondest memories focus around the holidays. When I was little my Mom's traditional thanksgiving feast was peanut butter on celery, dads onion dip, and mini hot dogs (that was our hors d'oeuvres) and of course we had the traditional Butterball Turkey. Dad would get up a the crack of dawn to get the turkey ready, peel the potatoes so he could relax. In the background you could hear the sound of the the parade on TV, (back when there were only 3 channels) My mom would be looking busy in her holiday apron (for some reason it was the only time she wore one) setting the table.
As I got older and found my love of cooking, I took over the holidays and added some new traditions (I still had the traditional turkey for my dad) one year we tried deep fried turkey, one year herbed, smoked, traditional stuffing, rice stuffing, apple stuffing, the possibilities are endless. As my children grew and our families grew we created even more new memories and traditions. In our family its always about the food, and being together. Each year someone brings something new to add to the day but we always keep that traditional bird just in case. At this time of year no mater what your family traditions are, or what new ones your going to create, we at Elegant Touch wish you happiness, and best wishes. A little Back Ground
We started Elegant Touch over 20 years ago. Since then we expanded from catering and operating a gourmet shop to running a four star restaurant, the NY State Museum and working in NY finest Venues. We offer cooking classes at our facility and are available for private parties.
Our wedding division has had the pleasure of helping create the perfect wedding for over 1500 brides.
